ICAR–Directorate of Floricultural Research, Pune, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Bayer Crop Science Limited to undertake a contractual research project titled “Efficacy evaluation of Fluopyram 250 g/l + Trifloxystrobin 250 g/l SC on rose powdery mildew in open field conditions.” This collaborative initiative aims to generate reliable scientific data on the performance of a new fungicidal combination for managing powdery mildew, a major disease that significantly reduces the aesthetic and commercial value of roses in India’s floriculture industry.

As per the MoU, ICAR-DFR will take full responsibility for the research component, including the design of field experiments, execution of two-season field trials, meticulous data recording, comprehensive data analysis, and the development of scientific insights, all of which will be carried out solely by ICAR-DFR scientists.
Bayer Crop Science Limited will provide technical inputs during conceptual discussions, support refinement of experimental protocols whenever required, supply the necessary formulations for evaluation, and bear all project-related fees as outlined in the proposal. It will strengthen public–private collaboration aimed at delivering practical, impactful solutions for rose growers across the country.
