A Two-day Mid-term Review workshop of 23 KVKs under Bundelkhand, North Eastern Plain & Vindhyan Zones of Uttar Pradesh has been initiated at ICAR- Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone-III, Kanpur, today.
Dr. Shantanu Kumar Dubey, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Zone-III, Kanpur, said that the workshop is being organised to guide the KVKs for action plan preparation for the year 2024 for 23 KVKs of Bundelkhand, North Eastern plains and Vindhyan agro-climatic zones of Uttar Pradesh. He urged KVKs to understand farmers' situations and problems to develop a need-based, situation-specific technical plan. Dr. Dubey emphasized the importance of on-farm trials and multi-disciplinary interventions in scheduling field-based interventions for priority causes. He also urged KVKs to prioritize farmers' problems and develop on-farm trials.
Heads of 12 KVKs (Bahraich-I, Bahraich-II, Gonda-I, Gonda-II, Balrampur, Jhansi, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Lalitpur, Banda and Chitrakoot) presented their action plans for 2024 after the inaugural session.
Dr. O.P. Singh, Former Director (Extension), SVPUAT, Meerut; Dr. R.R. Singh, Additional Director (Extension), ANDUAT, Ayodhya; Dr. Narendra Singh, Additional Director (Extension), BUAT, Banda, were also participated in the workshop.
